St Johnstone have tied Croatian centre-back Bozo Mikulic to a new contract running until the summer of 2027. The deal keeps the 29-year-old at McDiarmid Park after a difficult spell plagued by injuries since his arrival in October 2024.

Mikulic admitted he felt “real happiness” after putting pen to paper on the new agreement. “What I came through last season with the injury was the worst period of my career,” he told the club’s media team. “It felt like the worst scenario for me, or for any player.” His body has since responded well, and pre-season performances convinced him he’s ready to help Saints back into the Premiership.

Joining in October 2024, Mikulic has spent 21 months battling hamstring and other knocks.
