Ten more people have been charged in connection with disorder at St Johnstone's match against Hibernian last month. Police Scotland confirmed the charges this week following a joint investigation into incidents before, during and after the fixture at McDiarmid Park on September 6.

Seven individuals were arrested following the original disorder. On October 14, five men aged between 18 and 25 and two 16-year-old boys were arrested and charged. Three other male youths were also charged in connection with the incident. All will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal.

Inspector David Rice of Police Scotland said the inquiry is ongoing. "This has been a joint investigation and our inquiries remain ongoing to trace those responsible," Rice stated. He added a clear warning: "Disorder of any kind will not be tolerated and anyone involved will face the consequences." The involvement of transport police is due to incidents on the rail network after the match.

St Johnstone has acknowledged supporter concerns and is conducting its own full review. The club said it is aware of the issues raised and is undertaking internal discussions while investigating the matters. It has asked for patience while this process is completed, promising further information will be made available after the investigation concludes.

The news comes as Craig Levein's side prepare for their next home game, sitting fifth in the Premiership with 11 points from eight matches. The club will provide a further update on the investigation in due course.
