St Johnstone have confirmed their squad for the upcoming Tennent's Sixes indoor tournament, with three club legends set to represent the Perth side. The event takes place at Braehead Arena in Glasgow on Saturday 3 October and Sunday 4 October, featuring all twelve Premiership clubs.
Liam Craig, Frazer Wright and Craig Conway will pull on the St Johnstone colours once more for the six-a-side competition. The club announced the trio's involvement this week.
Midfielder Liam Craig made 453 appearances for the club across two spells, first signed by Derek McInnes from Falkirk in 2007. He left for Hibernian in 2014 but returned in 2021 and was part of the historic cup double-winning side.
Defender Frazer Wright joined on a free transfer from Kilmarnock in 2011 and played 131 times. He scored the winning goal against Rosenborg in the Europa League, securing the club's first away win in Europe, and was in the team that lifted the Scottish Cup in 2014.
Former Scotland international Craig Conway scored four goals in 35 appearances. He netted in a 3-0 Betfred Cup semi-final win over Hibernian, finishing a cross from Shaun Rooney, and also played a role in the cup double season.
St Johnstone have been drawn in Group B alongside Dundee, Dundee United and Aberdeen. The tournament format sees the top teams from the four groups progress to the knockout stages on Sunday.
The club said the event is a celebration of the SPFL and a chance for fans to see a different side of the game.
The announcement comes as the first team sits seventh in the Premiership with seven points from six matches. Their recent form reads one win, one draw and three losses, including a 1-0 defeat to Celtic last time out.
Their next league fixture is at home to Dundee United on 17 October, a side they drew 1-1 with earlier this month. The squad list details and player statistics are available on our squad and stats pages. The Tennent's Sixes kicks off at Braehead Arena on the first weekend of October.
